| This
site houses the search engine for the World Wide Web Virtual Library. Space
for this site is donated by the Daniel
F. and Ada L. Rice Campus of Illinois Institute of Technology, in Wheaton,
Illinois, USA.
This site also contains an experimental mirror of the main World Wide Web Virtual Library catalog; it is experimental only in the context of the user interface and in all other regards is an exact mirror of the main catalog at http://vlib.org/. The WWW Virtual Library was founded in 1991 by Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the Web. (See About the WWW Virtual Library.) The WWW Virtual Library is a distributed, not-for-profit system of specialized directories and guides, each maintained by an expert in the field. Each WWW Virtual Library site's content is solely the responsibility of the maintainer of that site. If you have questions about content or have new sites to suggest, please contact the relevant WWW Virtual Library site maintainer. A listing of all WWW Virtual Library sites can be found on the top level of the WWW Virtual Library. If you have a high degree of expertise in an area not presently represented, consider joining the WWW Virtual Library. |
